The Kingston Archery Club offers lessons for beginners (age 8 and up) or anyone wishing to brush up on their skills. If you are new to archery this is the best place to start out. Lessons are fun for all and focus on learning proper archery skills and the safe use of equipment.
Coaches are certified through Coach Canada and are dedicated to helping all participants reach their full potential, regardless of their age or experience.
Beginner classes focus on learning how an archery range functions, choosing the correct equipment, and the proper steps to shooting a bow. Classes are 1 hour each and each session is 6 weeks.
Intermediate classes prepare the archer to shoot in tournaments, other real-world environments, or just for fun. Advanced shooting techniques are taught with focus on an individual archer’s unique strengths and weaknesses. Classes are 1 1/2 hours each and each session is 6 weeks.
All basic equipment is provided for the lessons by the club for use during classes. Lessons take place at the indoor range located at 236 Nelson Street in St. Luke’s Church, Kingston, Ontario. Class size is limited so register early.
Lessons are currently suspended.
